Back on December 21st 2021, Jason Schreier reported on Project Spartacus and shared details:

• Available on PS4 and PS5, expected this Spring

• Will merge PS+ and Now

• Tier 1: Include existing PlayStation Plus benefits.

• Tier 2: Offer a large catalog of PlayStation 4 and, eventually, PlayStation 5 games.

• Tier 3: Offer extended demos, game streaming and a library of classic PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games.

• Sony is also investing more heavily into cloud gaming.

• No Plans for Day and Date Releases.

First look: the headset design for PlayStation VR2

Lots of thought was put into the headset’s ergonomics, as Sony wants users to feel as immersed in their game world as possible while ensuring a comfortable fit for a variety of head sizes.

New additions to the next-gen headset include a lens adjustment dial to manually tweak the distance between a user’s eyes and the lens, a built-in motor for headset feedback and a ventilation system to prevent the lens from fogging up during intense gaming sessions.

PlayStation reportedly planning to roll out bundled subscription service similar to Game Pass

Rumor mill: Netflix-style gaming may be coming to PlayStation 5 next year. News has leaked that Sony plans to merge PlayStation Plus and PS Now subscriptions into one service. The move could be an attempt to become more competitive with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

In an apparent attempt to compete with Xbox Game Pass, Sony plans to launch a similar subscription service next year. According to anonymous PlayStation insiders speaking with Bloomberg, the service, codenamed “Sparticus,” will bundle PlayStation Plus with PS Now.
