Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom Gamescom 2016 Trailer

A new game-play trailer has been released for the upcoming 2D action adventure title Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, ahead of its playable appearance at Gamescom.

The game features bright, colorful, cartoon-like visuals and fast combat with multiple characters and abilities. There’s also some platforming and puzzle solving thrown in for good measure and various detailed environments. The game is coming for PC, PS4, Xbox One and an as of yet unconfirmed Nintendo console.

Despite being a company rag that only covered things coming out on its own consoles, Nintendo Power was one of the best of these publications for its wonderful artwork and community culture. Remember those early reports that described Nintendo’s next game console as a TV / portable hybrid device? According to Eurogamer, they were right on the nose. Eurogamer sources claim that the Nintendo NX is a handheld game console with detachable controllers, a TV base station and NVIDIA Tegra graphics. In other words, it sounds like a standalone Wii U gamepad dialed up to 11.
