Anyone that has played Flappy Bird is well aware of the fact that it “borrowed” some assets from a very popular Nintendo franchise. I’m of course talking about Super Mario Bros. (and specifically, its green warp pipes and the “flappy” behavior that looks a lot like Mario in swimming levels).

Miitomo, Nintendo’s first mobile app, launches in Canada on March 31
After the app’s surprisingly successful launch in Japan, Nintendo is preparing to release its first mobile application, Miitomo, across the world. According to Nintendo, Miitomo will launch in Canada on March 31st, along with several other regions.
Miitomo was downloaded 1 million times in its first three days on the market in Japan, landing it in the number one free app position in the Google Play and iOS App Store.
Rather than a game in the traditional sense, Nintendo defines Miitomo as a chat-focused app and a “free-to-start social experience” that allows users to engage in digital conversations.
“With Miitomo, Nintendo takes its first step into the world of smart devices,” said Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada’s general manager and senior director, in a recent press release. “Miitomo brings the special Nintendo charm and polish that people around the world love to an entirely new format and audience.”
Along with Miitomo, Nintendo also plans to launch a revamped Wii U and 3DS store on Nintendo.com, allowing users to purchase titles from an expanded catalog of over 2,000 titles. Games purchased through the new eShop are then directly sent to users’ Nintendo 3DS or Wii u consoles for download.
Pre-registration for Miitomo is still open. The app is set to be available on both Android and iOS.

Rumor: Eurogamer Claims that the PlayStation 4K Is Real, Makes Much More Reasonable Claims About it
Last week, Kotaku reported on a new iteration of the PS4 hardware that they defined “PS4.5.” The article made the frankly ridiculous claim that it sported a GPU capable to support “high-end 4K resolution for games.”
Today Eurogamer posted a report of its own, that makes much more reasonable and realistic claims.
First Nintendo NX Controller “Leak” Revealed as a Fake

The video shows how he created the “leak” himself by putting the controller together on a 3D modeling software.
