Ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s official reveal next week, some key art and a possible release date for the game has leaked.
Earlier this morning, Activision and Infinity Ward officially released the first teaser video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is rumored to be this year’s title in the series. While the official reveal is scheduled for tomorrow, some new key art has been leaked for the game thanks to, in a rare turn of events, the franchise’s own YouTube channel.
The art, which was reported on by CharlieINTEL, features some kind of a soldier standing in front of the logo for the game. Below the soldier and a logo, you can clearly see what appears to be a date. While I’m pretty sure that it says October with some certainty, I’m not completely sure what date the logo says. If it follows the previous trend of Friday releases, my money’s on October 18, 2019. Again, that’s pure speculation, so don’t take that as gospel. You can check out the image at the end of the article and make the decision for yourself.
Currently, no official information about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been announced, however, it’s rumored to be a soft reboot of the Modern Warfare. What exactly that means, we don’t know, as DualShockers was not a part of the game’s influencer reveal which occurred a few days ago. Nevertheless, we’ll all find out more about the game tomorrow, as the full reveal is set for 1:00 PM EST (10:00 AM PST).
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
